Continuing on from her strong 2015, Katy wanted to put a lot of her focus into the FIA Formula E Championship, travelling to two of the rounds on the calendar this year as well as the pre-season testing in August. As well as her work trackside, Katy worked closely with Dare To Be Different – an initiative set up by racing driver Susie Wolff to support and inspire women in motorsport.
April 2016 – FIA Formula E Paris ePrix weekend
June 2016 – Dare to be different community connect event at Silverstone circuit
July 2016 – FIA Formula E London ePrix weekend
August 2016 – FIA Formula E pre-season testing at Donington Park
2015 was a year that saw Katy travel to destinations such as Monaco, Belgium and Hungary with Formula 1 and the Formula E Championship, whilst working in various motorsport paddocks. As well as liaising with drivers and team personnel for the organisations she represented, Katy was able to interview personalities in motorsport that included Toto Wolff, Damon Hill, Mitch Evans and Alejandro Agag. In addition, Katy also had her first experience of seeing her name in print as her work was published in The Times, Forbes, City AM, The Independent and the Sunday Express over the year.
